Matthew Chapman

Matthew Sell Chapman, 36, passed away unexpectedly at his home on June 20, 2021. He was born in Southern Pines, NC on March 15, 1985, the son of Matthew Steele Chapman and Ronda Renee Sell Chapman. Matthew loved to travel and had a great interest in fishing. He was a kind and caring person, who always looked to help others. Matthew is survived by his wife Megan Ogburn Chapman; his parents, Steele and Ronda Chapman; a sister, Tara Lambert (Joe); two brothers, Zack Chapman (Brittany) and Joe Chapman; two nieces, Kaitlyn and Bailey; two nephews, Cameron and Conor; his maternal grandfather, Henry Sell (Nancy); his maternal grandmother, Ethel Sell (Bill Thompson); and his paternal grandmother, Nancy Jay. A memorial service will be conducted 4:00 PM Friday, June 25, 2021, at New Hope Baptist Church (Old Rural Hall Rd.) in Winston-Salem with Rev. Mark Dickens and Rev. Ronnie Brown officiating.
