Master Sergent Herbert Thomas Hudson, Jr.

Kernersville - Master Sergeant Herbert Thomas Hudson, Jr. 76, passed away June 19, 2010 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born November 21, 1933 in Rockingham Co. to the late Sadie Jones and Herbert Thomas Hudson, Sr. Master Sergeant Herbert Thomas Hudson, Jr. served four tours of combat duty in Vietnam with the Army Special Forces, during his tours he was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for Valor, and numerous other medals. He was a member of Freedom Wesleyan Church. He was preceded in death by a son Raynard and one brother Leonard. Surviving are; his loving wife of 40 yrs., Frances Moss Hudson of the home, four sons, Wesley and wife Jamey Hudson of Belews Creek, Daryl, Clayton, and Aaron Hudson all of Kernersville, two daughters; Katrina Miller of Eagle Springs, NC, Regina Delapp of Salem, VA, one brother, Jackson Hudson of Reidsville, two sisters, Catherine Gammon of Danville, VA, Ruby Moss of Townsville, NC; five grandsons Walter Hudson, Jordan Hudson, Jacob Delapp, Jeremy Miller and Wyatt Miller. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at Freedom Wesleyan Church by Rev. Roger Holland , Rev. H.A. Lewis and Rev. Calvin Rice. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Monday, June 21, 2010 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel.
