Mary Huffman Staples

Mary Staples passed away at her home on April 27, 2021.  She was born in Forsyth County on October 5, 1943 to the late Ethel Allen Huffman (Spaugh) and Joseph Ray Huffman.  She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Harvey Reynolds Staples; her daughter, Robin Staples (Paul Tuohy); her grandchildren: Michael, Mary Ashley, and Christopher Tuohy; her sisters: Jo Ann Buchanan, Shirley Wilson, Faye Beeson (Larry), Linda Vest; and her sisters-in-law, Alyce Huffman and Kathleen Huffman.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Ethel and Joseph Huffman; her stepfather, George Spaugh; and her brothers, Bobby Huffman and Clyde Huffman.  Mary was retired from Westinghouse (Siemens Energy) in Winston-Salem.  She was a beloved member of Calvary Baptist Church in King, NC.  A graveside service will be conducted 11:00 AM Friday, April 30 at Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery, 3343 Rosebud Road, Walnut Cove, NC 27052.  In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made online to Calvary Baptist Church at https://www.cbcking.org/give-online or by mail to 536 S.
