Mary Eugenia Shipe

Mrs. Mary Eugenia Conrad Shipe, 93, passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2020, at Forsyth Medical Center.  She was born July 28, 1926, in Yadkin County, the daughter of James and Amy Kimbrough Conrad. A member of Grace Baptist Church, she was also retired from Western Electric.  She loved to read and walk with her friends.  Mrs. Shipe a strong-willed person who was raised by her siblings had a strong family bond that lasted her whole life.  She is preceded in death by her parents; a daughter Connie Sue Shipe and nine siblings.  Survivors include her nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.  A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, July 17, 2021, at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens with Pastor Jim Bush officiating.  The family will receive friends after the service at the graveside.   In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
