Mrs. Mary Boone Collins, 99, passed away on Tuesday, November 30, 2021. She ran her race and won, and she is at home with her Lord now. Mary was born in Johnson County on July 11, 1922 to Jimmy and Cassie Boone. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in King. Mary retired from Carolina Narrow Fabrics. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey William Collins and two sons, Rexford Collins and Ted Collins. Surviving family includes her children, Louise (Larry) Alexander, Dr. Bobby (Docia) Collins, Ann (Jerry) Spinks, Kay Jaffe, Wayne (Pat) Collins, Tommy (Kay) Collins, and Joe Collins; 27 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Monday, December 6, 2021 at Parklawn Memorial Park with Pastor Kevin Broyhill and Pastor Scott Vernon officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Sunday, December 5, 2021 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Gideons International, Davidson North Camp, P.O. Box 1598, Welcome NC 27374. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
