Mary Elizabeth Perry Wright

Kernersville - Mary Perry Wright, 86, passed away Sunday, August 6, 2017 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mary was born on June 5, 1931 in Guilford County to William Jessie and Nellie James Perry. She loved to fish and talk on the phone.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Garland Luther ""Buck"" Wright; two sons, David Wright and Garland Lee Wright; one granddaughter, Lisa Gray; and siblings, James Perry, Percy Perry, Pansy Craven, Pearl Brown, and Willie Mae ""Sis"" Middleton.

Surviving are three sons, Roger Wright (Lynn) of Winston-Salem, Danny Wright of Kernersville, and Robert Wright (Teresa) of Lexington; a daughter, Nellie Swaim of Winston-Salem; daughter-in-law, Suzette Wright of Erin, TN; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 2 great great-grandchildren; and a sister, Nina Lawson of Kernersville.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at Shady Grove Wesleyan Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Wednesday prior to the service at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel.
