Mary Chitty Willard

Mrs. Mary Chitty Willard, 94, passed away at Beacon Place on August 18, 2023. She was born on May 24, 1929, to Rowan Elvin Chitty and Peny Elizabeth Yokeley Chitty in Forsyth County. Mary was a charter member of Advent Moravian Church where she enjoyed fellowship in the Senior Friends group. More than anything she loved her family. “Home is Where the Hallmark Channel Is”. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, William Lawson Willard. Surviving are her children, Pamela Wagoner (Teddie Vann) and Carol O’Brien (Kevin); grandchildren, Krystal Wagoner Frederick (Stefan), and Cassy Plowchalk; great grandchildren, Kayden and Samuel; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, August 21, 2023, at Advent Moravian Church with Rev. Tim Sapp officiating. Interment will follow in the church graveyard. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM, Sunday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. Memorials may be made to Advent Moravian Church or Advent Band Fund.
