Mary Wagner, 69, beloved sister and special aunt, of Winston-Salem, went home, at home, with family and friends by her side, after a strong fight with cancer.

Born on February 10, 1947 in Johnson County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late A.E. and Irene Michael Wagner. Mary believed in working hard and enjoying life to the fullest with her family and her special BellSouth and H&R Block families, who she worked with at BellSouth 34 years and H& R Block 30 years. She loved her family dearly and she also loved children, all children, especially her nieces and nephews. She also raised her niece Charla Strawser and nephew David Poe after the death of their mother. She was a supporter of Special Olympics. Mary was an active member of the Pioneer Club at BellSouth.

Preceding her in death, besides her parents, were 2 sisters, Betty Wilson and Ann Poe and 1 niece, Linda Wilson Pope. Survivors include 1 sister, Winnie Wilson (Calvin) of Boone; 3 nephews, David Poe (Shelley), Jim Wilson (Carmen), and Mike Wilson (girlfriend Krissy); 1 nephew in law, Edward Pope; 2 nieces, Charla Strawser and Patricia Harless (Robby); 4 great nephews, Evan Strawser, Jordon Harless, Carter Wilson, and Mason Pope; and 2 great nieces, Sierra Lowe (Andy) and Kayla Harless.
