Mary Colegrove Troyan

Winston-Salem Mary Colegrove Troyan passed away Friday morning, March 2, 2012 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem. She was born January 18, 1948 in Tioga, PA to Harry John and Maize Schoonover Colegrove. Mrs. Troyan was a talented artist. She was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Church. She was very involved with the Special Olympics and was an advocate for the handicapped community. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Troyan was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Leonard Troyan. Surviving to cherish her memory are her son, Gregory Troyan and wife Cristi of Charlotte; daughter Sarah Shore and husband Phillip of Winston-Salem; and daughter Kathryn Troyan of Winston-Salem; as well as six grandchildren, Conztanze Jones, Douglas Troyan, Samantha Troyan, Steven Jones, Jr., Hannah Shore, and Stephanie Troyan; A twin brother Harry Lee Colegrove and two sisters, Trudy Hunt and Debra Button; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at 7:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. A Catholic Mass will be held Wednesday March 7, 2012 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. Online condolences may be made to www.hayworth-miller.com.
