Mary Ruth Stack Tatum

KERNERSVILLE - Mrs. Mary Ruth Stack Tatum, 83, died Sunday, July 7, 2013 a few days before her 84th birthday. Mary Ruth was born July 21, 1929 in Guilford County to the late Charlie and Blanche Parrish Stack of Oak Ridge. Mary Ruth was devoted to her family and enjoyed her time with them. She was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church and retired from Felice Hoisery where she served as the plant manager. In addition to her parents, Mary Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, E. C. Tatum, Jr.; three brothers, Bob, Hugh and Ray Stack; two sisters, Forrest Palmer and Flavel Stack. Surviving are her son, Rick Tatum; grandson, Ryan Tatum; one brother, Marion Stack and wife, Billie; one sister-in-law, Jean Stack; several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with Pastor Jon White officiating. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
