Mary Anne Beeson Sweat

Mrs. Mary Ann Beeson Sweat of Mocksville, a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who was a very sweet and kind lady, passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at the Hospice Home. She was born May 21, 1932 in Knox Co. TN to Ralph Artillerus and Eva Sherrill Beeson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Ray Sweat, Sr. and a son, Bobby Gray Sweat, Sr. Surviving are three sons, Billy Ray Sweat, Jr. (Becky), Ralph Andrew ""Randy"" Sweat and Jack Kelly Sweat (Sharon); a daughter-in-law, Rita; grandchildren, Bobby Gray Jr. ""Gray"", Mitch, Kelly, Jaime, Crystal, Raina, Billy III, Hannah, Johnny, Eva, and Ian; great grandchildren, Breanna, Bobby III, Julie, Hayliegh, Brandon, David, Madison, Baliegh, Andrew, and Landon. Mrs. Sweat grew up in South Fork where she made many life-long friends, several of which she quite often had lunch, and which turned into visiting and catching up. At age 12 Mary's father passed away leaving her and her mother to form a very close relationship that would deepen through the years, and that would sustain her and prepare her for her child rearing days. Mrs. Sweat was retired from Forsyth Memorial Hospital. Vacation trips were either fishing trips or golf tournaments. Neither mattered to her, she just enjoyed traveling. She was a member at Green Meadows Baptist Church where she participated in the Women on Missions group and served with the after school Good News Club. She went on many trips with the senior groups at Green Meadows Baptist and at Griffith Baptist Churches. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Friday, April 24, 2015 at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel with Pastor Josh Greene and Rev. Michael Waters officiating.
