Mary Lou Manuel Snow

KERNERSVILLE-Mary Manuel Snow, 75, passed away Friday, November 26, 2010 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. She was born April 4, 1935 in Forsyth Co to the late Walter A. and Pearl Sapp Manuel. Mrs. Snow was a member of Sedge Garden United Methodist Church. She retired from Hanes Hosiery after 20 years of service. Mary loved to garden and enjoyed being outdoors, but especially cherished the Sunday dinners that she cooked for her family. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy ""Dot"" Godwin; and two brothers, Roger Manuel and William ""Bill"" Manuel. Surviving are her husband of 52 years, Bruce E. Snow; daughter, Tammy S. Blevins (David); son, Ashley Snow (Amber); four grandchildren, Amber Idol (Matt), Lauren Blevins, Apani and Weston Snow; three great-grandchildren, Maia Blevins, Lily and Caroline Idol; four brothers, Roy Manuel (Faye), Paul Manuel (Wilda), Gene Manuel (Carol), Francis ""Pappy"" Manuel; and a sister, Ellen Pierce (Charlie). A Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00 am Monday, November 29, 2010 at Sedge Garden United Methodist Church with Rev. Patricia Lewis, Rev. Ellis Rouse, and Rev. Wayne Branch officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 pm Sunday, November 28, 2010 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to Sedge Garden United Methodist Church, 794 Sedge Garden Rd., Kernersville, NC 27284.
