Mary “Carrene” Sink, 74, of Clemmons, NC, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, after receiving great care at Clemmons Village II.
She was born on January 14, 1950, to the late Ryan Alexander Sink and Mary Frances Thomas Sink in Forsyth County, NC.
Mary traveled the world working for Lucent Technology. She made rounds traveling to Aruba, Wales, Bermuda, Adak Alaska, and San Nicholas Island.
She enjoyed the atmosphere of each location, as well as fishing and exploring each island. Mary was an Apple Computer guru, and a fine artist. Her talent for art was noted at an early age. She drew a series of barns, flowers, houses and Moravian symbols and scenes. She was a member of Friedland Moravian Church where she served in the choir as well as on the Board.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her two sisters, Nancy Forcum (Joe) and Merlyn Stokes (A.G); and her brother, Richard A. Sink.
Those left to cherish her memories include her brother, Thomas R. Sink (Judy); sister, SuEllen S. Pruitt (Marshal); sister-in-law, Terri M. Sink; and many other nieces, nephews, and friends who loved her dearly. Mary had a cheerful happy greeting to all he knew and loved her.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, October 20, 2024, at 2:00PM in the Friedland Moravian Church Graveyard with The Rev. John G. Rights officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Trellis Supportive Care, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103, or to Friedland Moravian Church, 2750 Friedland Church Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27107.
