Mary Shoemaker

Mrs. Mary Burns Shoemaker, 79, entered rest on June 6, 2019 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born in Forsyth County on August 9, 1939 to the late Raymond Lee, and Myrtle Fansler Burns.  Mrs. Shoemaker enjoyed playing bingo and was an excellent cook. She had a heart for children and loved both her kids and grandkids very much. In addition to her parents Mrs. Shoemaker was preceded in death by her loving husband; Kenneth Lemar Shoemaker, a daughter; Tina Lemar tuttle, and eight brothers and sisters. She is survived by three children; Robin Shoemaker (Chuck), Troy Shoemaker (June), and Tammy Davis (Greg); eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and a loving sister Janet Cline (Jack). A funeral service will be conducted 2:00pm Sunday June 9, 2019 at Lexwin Baptist Church with Pastor Eric Goff officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00pm Saturday June 8, 2019 at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall.
