Mary Evelyn Holcomb Sealey

SEALEY - KING Ms. Mary Evelyn Holcomb Sealey, 81, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 25, 1932 in Iredell County to the late Forest Lee Holcomb and Gustie Stewart Holcomb. Mrs. Sealey retired from Hanes Knitting Company with 45 years of service. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Sealey was preceded in death by one sister: Maxine H. Morrison. Surviving are two children: Phyllis S. Pitts (Cliff) and Judy S. Wilkins; four grandchildren: Jeff Sealey (Evy), Adam Pitts (April), Amanda P. Smith (Cole) and Kellie Wilkins; five great-grandchildren: Bryan Sealey, Trevor Sealey, Cloe Smith, Aiden Smith and Azlea Pitts; brother: Stewart Holcomb (Brenda); sister: Donna Carpenter (Buster); and special canine companion: Taffy. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, June 29 at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall.
