Mary Ruth Hauser

Mrs. Mary Ruth Hauser, 80, passed away at her home in Raleigh, NC, on July 6, 2024. She was born in Richland Co. South Carolina on December 13, 1943, the daughter of the late Charles Hill Findley and Mildred Asbill Findley. Mrs. Hauser was a member of the first graduating class of A.C. Flora High School in Columbia SC before attending Spartanburg Junior College. She retired from Cox Needham Funeral Home after 20 plus years as an administrative assistant. Mrs. Hauser enjoyed her time and special friendships with the residents of Brookdale. Mary was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church Pilot Mountain. In addition to her parents Mary is preceded in death by her Husband, Thomas Franklin Hauser, and brother Charles Hill Findley. She is survived by her two daughters, Beth Johnson and husband David of Raleigh and Deborah Flippin and husband Alan of Westfield; two grandchildren, Christy Norris and husband David and Ryan Johnson; two cousins Robert Asbill Wright of Savannah GA, Dale Higingbottom and husband David of Tennessee Ridge TN ; Brother-in-law Gary Hauser and wife Ginger of Winston-Salem, special friends Forest and Susan Boaz of Pilot Mountain, and many other extended family members. Funeral services for Mrs. Hauser will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 11, 2024, at First United Methodist Church in Pilot Mountain with Rev. Jeremy Pegram and Rev. R. Sidney Lanier officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall. Private burial will follow in Pilot Mountain City Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of North Raleigh Brookdale and to Heartland Hospice and Viviane Home Health, for all of the care and support shown to her in their time of need.
