Mary Helen Hollar Rudisill

Mrs. Mary Helen Hollar Rudisill, 87, of Kernersville passed away September 13, 2008, after months of declining health, at Forsyth Medical Center. Mrs. Rudisill was born in Alexander County to the late Elisha L. and Beulah Teague Hollar on June 12, 1921. She was a volunteer with the American Red Cross for over 30 years and at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. Mrs. Rudisill was a woman of great faith and was a member of Konnoak Baptist Church. She had a love for flowers and gardening. She will be remembered as a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother who brought joy to the lives of many. Mrs. Rudisill is survived by her husband of 62 years, Paul D. Rudisill, Sr. of the home; a son, David Rudisill and wife Denise of Taylorsville; two daughters, Mary Pike of Winston-Salem and Marie Rudisill of Greensboro; a granddaughter, Kim Miller and husband Mike and their two daughters, Mary Katherine and Margaret Sadie Miller, all of Winston-Salem; a sister, Virginia Howell and husband Carl of Charlotte and 2 nephews. A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 am Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with the Rev. John Bishop and Dr. Ray Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
