Mrs. Mary Kapota Thomas Royer, 86, of Winston-Salem passed away Thursday, December 30, 2010 at Bermuda Commons in Advance. She was born December 13, 1924 in Wayne County, Michigan to Constantine and Pauline Asimacopoulos Kapota. Mrs. Royer was a member of the Greek Orthodox Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Tom Thomas; and a son, James Thomas. Surviving are her husband, Robert Royer; two sons, Harry Thomas and wife Cynthia, and Tom Thomas and wife Ann; one daughter, Friday Duffy; four grandchildren, Caitlin, Patrick, Michelle, and Nicholas; two stepsons, Jack Royer and wife Kathleen, and Randy Royer and wife Eva. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at the Greek Orthodox Church with Father Demetri Kangelaris officiating. Burial will follow in Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, January 4 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
