Mary Lou Smith Polinsky

OAK RIDGE - Mrs. Mary Lou Smith Polinsky, 79, went to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, October 10, 2013, at her home, surrounded by her family. Mary Lou was born on July 21, 1934 in Latrobe, Pennsylvania to the late Evard E. and Isabel Josephine Angus Smith. She enjoyed vacationing with her family, especially visits to the beach. Mary Lou loved watching westerns and cooking shows. She was very dedicated to her family and friends. In addition to her parents, Mary Lou was preceded in death by one son, Daniel Polinsky, on June 14, 2013. Surviving are her husband, Mike Polinsky, of the home; one son, Michael (Darcy) Polinsky of Derry, PA; three daughters, Lugene (Charles) Amond of Derry PA , Janice (Daniel) Grabeman of King, NC, and Kelly (Daniel) Wagner of Oak Ridge, NC; one daughter-in-law, Linda Polinsky, of Loyalhanna, PA; eight grandchildren, Chad, Kari, Michael, Matthew, Luke, Jessie, Ashton and Riley; six great grandchildren, Madelyn, Katelyn, Alex, Nathan, Abby and Aaron; and one brother, Jacob (Kay) Smith of Stafford, VA. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 12, 2013 at Community Lutheran Church in Summerfield, NC . The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday, October 11, at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel.
