Mrs. Mary Ragland Pitts, of Pfafftown passed away Monday, April 5, 2010 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born March 24, 1922 in Forsyth County to Herbert Bryant and Carrie Davis Ragland. Mrs. Pitts was a very active lifelong member of Christ Moravian Church. She was an avid golfer, painter and seamstress. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Dot Folsom, Lou DeHart and Jane Lehman; and a brother, George Ragland. She (G.M.) is survived by her husband, Wilson Herbert Pitts of the home; two sons, Keith (Margaret) Pitts of Winston-Salem and Bobby (Karen) Pitts of Farmington; one sister, Ruth Singleton of Winston-Salem; seven grandchildren, Sarah (Randy) Beck, Amy Pitts, Meredith Pitts, Wendy Mabe, Kristin Pitts, Jason Pitts and Megan Pitts; one great granddaughter, Isabelle Pitts; her special angel, Judy Morales; her ""Buddy"" Ruben Morales, Luke ""Hero"" Morales, and her little helper, Cindy Leonard. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 8 at Christ Moravian Church with the Rev. Neil Routh officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Moravian Graveyard. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. A special thanks to the Morales Family who became one of the many special blessings in her life.
