Mary Elizabeth Parks

Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Parks of Winston-Salem died Saturday, May 22, 2010 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born February 25, 1923 in Winston-Salem, the daughter of the late Clyde and Loloa Lollar James. Mrs. Parks was a member of First Baptist Church of Winston-Salem and was a graduate of R. J. Reynolds High School. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, E. G. Parks, Sr., a daughter-in-law, Karen Parks and eight brothers and sisters. Survivors include two sons, E. G. Parks, Jr. and Ronald Parks and wife, Phyllis of Winston-Salem; two grandchildren, Lisa Parks of Winston-Salem and Brooke McCloud of Charleston, SC; two great grandchildren, Brandon Stewart and Ashley Stewart; one brother, Paul Radar James and wife, Janie of Winston-Salem and many nieces and nephew. The funeral service will be conducted Wednesday at 2:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Pastor Robert Dixon officiating. Burial will follow in Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. The family would like to say a special thank you to the nurses at Hospice, Donna, Rene and Betsy and the chaplain, Rev.
