Mary Lou Wilson McGee, age 82, of Clemmons, NC passed away on Saturday, September 29, 2012 after a long illness. Mary Lou grew up in the Northern Neck of Virginia and was a graduate of Longwood University, where she was a member of the Alpha Phi Sigma Honor Society. In 1948 she married a young seminary student, and together they began a life calling to the ministry and theological education. Mary Lou enjoyed a 20 year real estate career where she received many top sales awards and was one of the founders of Winston-Salem Homes. She loved to cook and enjoyed sewing, gardening and fishing. Mary Lou was the widow of the Rev. L.L. McGee, who predeceased her in 2004 after 56 years of marriage. She was the oldest child of the late J.E. and Princess Wilson, and sister of the late Peggy Wilson Sampson and Robert Wilson. She is survived by her children Mary McGee (Tom Nolan) of Lewisville, NC, John McGee (Ginger) of Atlanta, GA and Hope Harris (Tim) of the home; by her grandchildren Lauren McGee of New York, NY and Matthew McGee of Atlanta, GA; by her sister-in-law, Sedonia Wilson of Warsaw, VA; by her niece Nancy Wilson and nephews Jay Wilson and Robert Wilson. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at Westlawn Gardens of Memory Mausoleum Chapel with the Rev. Maurice Briggs and Rev. Chris Norman officiating.
