Mary Angel Mason

KERNERSVILLE - Mary Martitia Angel Mason, 92, passed away Thursday, December 18, 2008 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born February 22, 1916 in Forsyth Co. to the late William Addison and Martha Alma Macy Angel. Mary was the eldest charter member of Kernersville Friends Meeting. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Clifford Mason; three brothers, Hugh Addison Angel, William Howard Angel, and Jack Angel; three sisters, Nellie Brannon, Ollie Angel, and Zula Hedgecock. Surviving are one son, Donald Clifford Mason of the home; two daughters, Mary Mason Yow and husband Keith of Summerfield, and Patricia Ann Mason Phillips and husband Keith of Kernersville; one granddaughter, Nikki Phillips Johnson and husband Chas of Ronda ; one great-granddaughter, Sydney Nicole Johnson; one sister Dorothy Angel Link of Lexington. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Saturday, December 20, 2008 at Hayworth Miller Cain Chapel in Kernersville with Dr. Jerry Gibbons and Rev. Hewey Parrish officiating. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
