Mary Jane Gordy Kiger

Mrs. Mary Jane Gordy Kiger, 86, passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at her home. She was born in Forsyth Co. on April 10, 1931 the daughter of the late Raymond Thomas Gordy and Anna Rebecca Caudle Gordy. Mary Jane was a member of Red Bank Missionary Baptist Church and retired from Western Auto with 25 years of service. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil William Kiger; three sisters, Shelby, Joann and Zena; a brother, Guy; three sisters-in-laws, Sue, Judy and Nellie and two brothers-in-laws, Don and Ernie. She is survived by two sons, Virgil Kiger Jr. ""Sonny"" (Janet) and Ricky Kiger (Sheila); three grandsons; two granddaughters; two step-grandsons; three great-granddaughters; four step-great-grandchildren; five brothers, R.T., Jr., Billy (Margie), Ray (Kay), Larry, and Lee (Judy); four sisters, Gail, Joy (James), Becky, and Vicki (Avery) and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 Friday, June 23, 2017 at Red Bank Missionary Baptist Church in Germanton with Pastor Gary Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 prior to the service at the church. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Red Bank Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, P.O.
