Mrs. Mary Lee Tuttle Key, 84, passed away May 25, 2010 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born October 3, 1925 in King, NC to the late Jene Virona and Ida Tamson Meadows Tuttle. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, John Wesley Key and by her four brothers and five sisters. Mrs. Key was a member of Crews United Methodist Church and was retired from P. H. Hanes Knitting with 36 years of service. She is survived by her daughter, Ann Key Reedy and husband Ray of Walkertown; two grandchildren, Shannon Bennett of Charlotte and Lee Ann Fields and husband Jason of Kernersville; two great-grandchildren, Desiree and JaLee Fields of Kernersville; a special nephew, Steve Tuttle of Winston-Salem and numerous other nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm, Friday, May 28, 2010 at Crews United Methodist Church with the Rev. Brian Crady officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm today at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. The family would like to thank all of their friends and family for their prayers and concerns during Mary's illness.
