Mrs. Mary Stoltz ""Granny"" Johnson, 75 of Winston-Salem, died Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at her home. Mrs. Johnson was born July 25, 1933 in Forsyth County, a daughter of the late Samuel Stoltz and the late Pearl Grubbs Stoltz. She was known best as ""Granny"" at Kermit's Hot Dogs, where she worked for 41 years. She was a wonderful loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of Hanes Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Cecil Duggins, Sr. in 1976. She is survived by her husband and companion of 30 years, Roy Johnson, children, Judy Smith and husband Mark, Cecil Duggins, Jr. and wife Jackie, and Sharon Niles and husband Mark, brother, Bill Stoltz, 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, February 7, 2009 at Hanes Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Groce officiating. Interment will follow in Crestview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6-8 Pm Friday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to The Building Fund of Hanes Baptist Church.
