Mary Jo Lovette Finney, age 91, passed peacefully at home on June 13, 2024. Mary Jo was born to Ruby Lovette Tangredi on July 8, 1932. She was preceded in death by, husband, Harvey C. Finney and son, Sgt. Harvey C. Finney. She is survived by a daughter, Joan Beck of Mocksville; son, Carl “Eddie” Finney and partner, Melinda Klieforth of Kernersville; daughter-in-law, Marie L. Peebles and husband James of Booneville; grandsons, Arthur Finney and wife Kendall of Yadkinville and Cody Beck and wife Katie of Lewisville; granddaughter, Jessica Klieforth of Hillsborough; great granddaughters, Charlie and Evie Beck, Satori Klieforth and partner Terrance Copeland; great grandsons, Zachary and Zane Finney, Davont’e Ford, Jaydn’ and Kam Klieforth; great-great granddaughter, Tierra Copeland. She was a life-long resident of Winston-Salem. She was known to everyone as MamaJo. She never met a stranger and never let anyone go hungry. She was a caring and loving Mother, Mother-In-Law, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Great-Great Grandmother and a special friend to all. She loved to travel from the ocean to the mountains and enjoyed all she met throughout her adventures. She was a good listener and never judgmental to anyone as she was a caring soul. She received her nursing degree later in life and dedicated herself to caring for the elderly. She loved to shop at Aldi’s and never gave up a good buy. MamaJo will be missed by all as she was a loving person.
A visitation and celebration of life will be held on Monday, June 17, 2024, between the hours of 6:00pm – 8:00pm, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
