Mary Needham

Mrs. Mary Henri Newman Needham, age 86, went to be with the Lord on her birthday April 17, 2019.  She was born April 17, 1933 in Forsyth County to the late Clarence Newman and Myrtle Newman.  Mary Henri was a lifetime member at Mineral Springs Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher, member of the hand bell choir, and an active member of The Women’s Missionary Union.  She enjoyed life and shared with others volunteering her time at Forsyth Medical Center for many years.  Mary Henri enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren spoiling them as a grandmother would.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be dearly missed by her family.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Curtis Needham; two sisters, one brother, and one son-in-law.  She is survived by two daughters, Pattie Murray (Vann) and Terri Branch; four grandchildren, Kevin and Jodie Murray, Cassie Hovelson, and Katie Burket, and ten great-grandchildren.  A funeral service will be conducted 1:30 PM Saturday, April 20, 2019 at Bethany Baptist Church with Dr. Brad Stamey and Dr. Cecil Cave officiating.  Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall.  The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 12:00 noon until 1:15 PM.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mineral Springs Baptist Church, 5460 Skylark Rd., Pfafftown, NC 27040 and/or Bethany Baptist Church Youth Fund, 600 Old Hollow Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27105.
