Mary Stoltz Hawks

Mrs. Mary Louise Stoltz Hawks, 78, passed away Friday, May 13, 2016 at Wake Forest Baptist Health. She was born in Forsyth Co. on November 13, 1937 the daughter of the late Thomas McKinley Stoltz and Berta Butner Stoltz. Mary was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Stanleyville and retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. with 30 years of service. She also owned and operated Hawks' Florist in Rural Hall. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Stoltz. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Grady R. Hawks of the home, a daughter; Susie Hawks Gordon of Rural Hall, a son; Danny Hawks of Rural Hall and three grandchildren; Nathaniel Gordon (Leigh Ann), Whitney Gordon and Dannielle Hawks. A graveside service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 16, 2016 at Crestview Memorial Park with Pastor Eddie Honeycutt and Pastor T Welch officiating. The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 this evening, Sunday, May 15, 2016 at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall.
