Mrs. Mary Lou Hauser Harp, 64, was peacefully taken to her Heavenly home in the arms of angels on Saturday, June 18, 2022, at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born in Forsyth Co. on September 14, 1957, the daughter of the late, Harold James Hauser and Mary Irene Goins Hauser. Mary was a member of Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church in Tobaccoville and loved working as a bus driver for WS/FC school system. She was a loving daughter, wife, sister, mother, bonus mother and “googram” to her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 22 years, John Harp, Jr.; her grandson, Aydan “Bam Bam” Smith; and a brother, Harold G. Hauser. Mary is survived by her daughter, Susan Smith (Daniel); bonus daughters, Kendra Goins (Stephen) and Teresa London (Michael Justice); her granddaughter, Bethany Smith; two sisters, Laura Rollins (Brent Stanley) and Faye Fletcher; a step-sister, Robin Moore; a step-brother, Donald “Thumper” Caldwell; her significant other, Robert Bowman; and many nieces, nephews and extended family. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 22, 2022, at Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church in Tobaccoville with Rev. Mike Darnell and Rev. Patrick Marion officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 Tuesday evening at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the ICU and Palliative Care Teams at Forsyth Medical Center for all the care and support they gave during her time of need. Isaiah 41:10 “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
