Mrs. Mary ""Granny"" Ollie Fulk, 96, passed away peacefully at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home on March 7, 2015. She was born on February 21, 1919 to John and Lucy Fisher. Granny was famous for her chicken salad and chicken and dumplings. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Rupert Lee Fulk; one son, Jerry Wayne Fulk. Surviving are two daughters, Mary Galloway and Linda Atwood with Ronnie Banner who she loved dearly; one beloved adopted daughter, Becky Matlock; one son, Larry Ray Fulk and Maria; three beautiful and well-loved granddaughters, Leah Galloway, Dawn Atwood and Alanna Fulk. A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at Gospel Light Baptist Church with Rev. Frank Shumate officiating. Interment will follow at King Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM Monday at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103 or to Forsyth Humane Society, 61 Miller St. Winston-Salem, NC 27104.
