Mary Frances Shepherd Estep

Mrs. Mary Frances Estep, 81, of Pfafftown, passed away Saturday, May 22, 2010 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mrs. Estep was born in Forsyth County to Mr. Paul E. and Flora Crater Shepherd. She was a lifelong member of Christ Moravian Church where she also served as church secretary. Mrs. Estep was a long time Diener of the Moravian Church. She loved to entertain family and friends and spent much of her free time, working on crafts and volunteering at Wake Forest University Medical Center and Forsyth Medical Center. Mrs. Estep was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband, Raford Henry Estep, Jr. She is survived by a son, Steve Estep and wife Sharon of Asheville; a grandson, Lee Martin Estep; and a sister DeLois ""Dee"" Swaim and husband Doug as well as many devoted nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 am Monday, May 24, 2010 at Christ Moravian Church with the Dr. Neil Routh officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Moravian Graveyard. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Sunday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
