Mary K. Edwards

Mrs. Mary K. Edwards, 89, of Winston-Salem passed away Friday, August 22, 2014 at her home. Mrs. Edwards was born on June 18, 1925 in Forsyth County to Frank and Bertha Jane Williams Kanoy. She was of the Moravian Faith and retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company with 40 years of service. Mrs. Edwards enjoyed reading as long as her sight permitted. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Evan Edwards; and a brother, Lewis Kanoy. Mrs. Edwards is survived by three sons, Bill F. Byrd of South Carolina, James Byrd of Winton-Salem, and Daniel Byrd of Winston-Salem; and two grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted 10:00 am Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at Parklawn Memorial Park with the Pastor Erick Goff officiating.
