Mary Ruth Eaton

Kernersville - Mrs. Mary Ruth Eaton, 88, died Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at Piney Grove Nursing Home. Mary Ruth was born January 13, 1928 in Yadkin County to James Harley and Omie Driver Salmons. She was a member of Kerwin Community Tabernacle Church and retired from Adams Millis.
In addition to her parents, Mary Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Clemon Washington Eaton; three brothers, Glenn, Albert and Claude Salmons; and two sisters, Dorothy Miller and Kathleen Hemric.
Surviving are two daughters, Judy Evans and Kathy McPherson of Kernersville; three grandchildren, Scott Lane (Andrea), Michael McPherson, and April Lane (Carl); eight great grandchildren, Seth, Cole and Addison Lane, Christian and Kylie Lane, Hayden, Eythan and Elijah McPherson; and four sisters, Margaret Cartner, Frances Vestal (Nelson), Peggy Warren, and Phyllis Sawyer.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel with Rev. Gary Cobbler officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 13, 2016 at the funeral home.
