Mary Madeline Higgins Cox

Mrs. Mary Madeline Higgins Cox, 84, of Clemmons passed away Sunday, January 2, 2011 at Brookstone Terrace of Clemmons. Mrs. Cox was born in Yadkin County on October 28, 1926 to Fred Crater and Cleo Trivette Crater. She retired from Western Electric as an inspector. Mrs. Cox was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her son Wayne Bostick, Sr and wife Becki of Winston-Salem, one grandson Wayne Bostick, Jr of Winston-Salem, three step-daughters; Leslie Wooten of Charlotte, Stacy Williamson of Augusta, GA, and Sherry Walker of Lenoir, several great-grandchildren, one brother Larry Crater, three sisters; Marie Westmoreland, Betty Masten and Linda Campbell. A graveside service will be conducted 2:00 pm Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 6-8pm Monday, January 3, 2011 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. Memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Lane.
