Mary Ann Kearns Collins

Ms. Mary Ann Kearns Collins, 78, of Winston-Salem, NC, formerly of both Rosedale, NY and Wilmington, NC, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 16, 2015 at her residence. Ms. Collins was born on December 10, 1936 in Brooklyn, NY to the late James Anthony Kearns and Margaret Rogers Kearns. Mary Ann was employed with Columbia Pictures in New York City. In addition to her parents, Ms. Collins was preceded in death by her son, Jimmy Collins. Ms. Collins is survived by her two sons, Joseph Collins of Wantagh, NY and Thomas Collins of Ft. Myers, FL; two daughters, Elizabeth ""Betty"" Innella and husband, Jim of Winston-Salem and Kathleen Rosenkranz and husband, R.J. of Dallas, TX; nine grandchildren, Kristen Innella, Lauren Alverio, Robby Innella, Tyler Rosenkranz, Lyndsay Rosenkranz, Jimmy Rosenkranz, Brianna Collins, Ashley Collins, and Delaney Rosenkranz. A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Clemmons, NC with Father Stephen Hoyt officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Monday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any memorials be made to Hospice and Palliative Care Center of Forsyth County, 101 Hospice Ln., Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
