Mary Ruth Griffith Bonham

Mrs. Mary Ruth Griffith Bonham, 95, of Winston-Salem, passed away on Friday, September 29, 2023, at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.  Mary was born in Independence, VA on March 14, 1928, to the late Robert Griffith and Beulah Halsey Griffith.  She enjoyed traveling with family and friends and was an avid reader.  She especially loved her church and serving the Lord.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Coy Paul Bonham; daughter, Brenda Parks; six brothers and three sisters.  Left to cherish her memory are her son, Ted Bonham (Diane); son-in-law, Stephen Parks; grandsons, Robert Couch (Kim), Chris Couch, and Will Bonham; and great-grandchildren, Noah, Adam, Spencer, Ethan, and Lucas.  Mary took pride in being a grandmother and great-grandmother.  She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.  The family would like to say a special thank you to Betty, Dawn, Lena, and Kim for the loving care they provided to Mary.  She often referred to them as her angels.  A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at Westlawn Gardens of Memory.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Ln., Winston-Salem, NC 27103.  Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel is serving the family of Mrs. Bonham.
