Mary Boles

Mrs. Mary Wilkins Boles 87, of Winston Salem passed away Saturday January 10, at Forsyth Medical Center. Mrs. Boles was born October 23, 1921 in Yadkin County, NC, to the late Issac Wilkins and Nettie Mason Wilkins. She attended Northwoods Baptist Church. Mary Boles has lived in Winston-Salem since 1941, where she retired from W.T. Grants with 17 years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Mr. Charles B. Boles, and her sisters Esther M. Wilkins and Lucille Wilkins. She is survived by her sister in laws Peggy and Rachel Boles both of Walnut Cove, NC; several cousins and lots of wonderful friends. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Monday January 12 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. A funeral service will be conducted Tuesday January 13, 2009 at Northwoods Baptist Church at 2:00 PM with Rev. Jim Thompson, Rev. Frank Shumate, and Rev. Rufus Cullar officiating. Burial will be following the service at Stokesburg United Methodist Church.
