KERNERSVILLE-Mary Ann Cooke Binkley, 72, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born August 24, 1936 in Montgomery Co., NC to the late James Arthur and Ester Haywood Cooke. Mary Ann was a member of Century Park Baptist Church and a member of the choir. She believed God first and then her family. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Jean Blackman. Surviving are her husband, John S. Binkley of the home; two daughters, Carolyn Vanhoy and husband Mike of Star, NC, and Rhonda Robertson and husband Brent of Kernersville; two sisters, Mittie White and husband Jessie of Kernersville, Marge Sellers and husband Bill of Emporia, Kansas; one brother, Harvey Cooke and wife Phyllis of Overland Park, Kansas; seven grandchildren, Crystal White, Monica Moore, Stacy Hackler, Neill, and Alec McCaskill, Jana Vanhoy, and Necoh Robertson and eight great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Friday, July 3, 2009 at Century Park Baptist Church in Kernersville with the Rev. Glenn Murphy officiating. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends immediately following graveside service at the church. Memorials may be made to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane, WS, NC 27103 or Century Park Baptist Church, 1051 Salisbury St., Kernersville, NC 27284. Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the Binkley family.
