Mary Cox

Ms. Mary Beth Cox, 76, of Clemmons passed away Sunday, January 3, 2021 at her home. She was born in Forsyth County to the late Julius Perdue and Margie Blackburn Perdue on December 29, 1944. Mary was a member of Advent Moravian Church where she was a band member, deacon, Diener, President of Sunday school class and choir member. She graduated from Griffith High School in 1963. She retired from GMAC with 10 years of service and then State Farm with 13 years of service. Mary was a loving mother and grandmother, and she will be dearly missed. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by brothers, James and David Perdue. Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Reatha Schrick and Vicki Whitman (Sean); four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; brother, Julius Perdue; sisters, Bertha Griffin and Doris Billings. A graveside service will be held Monday, 2:00 PM, January 11, 2021 at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Dr. Tim Sapp officiating.
