Mary Ruth Snow Belton

Mrs. Mary Ruth Snow Belton, age 83 of Winston-Salem passed away Monday, December 14, 2015 at Oak Forest Health and Rehabilitation in Winston-Salem. Mrs. Belton was born in Carroll County, VA January 19, 1932 to James Franklin and Icee Cecil Spencer Snow. Mary was a member of Jefferson Church of Christ in Rural Hall. She was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mary was known as Mama Mary to all the children she loved and cared for many years of her life. She will be greatly missed by everyone that knew her. In addition to her parents Mary was preceded in death by three sisters; Hazel Smith, Mattie Belton and Annie Davis.
Mrs. Belton is survived by her husband, William G. Belton of the home. One son, Mark (Katrina) Belton of Germanton. One daughter, Stephanie""Peppi"" (Cheryle) McCraw of Cana, VA. Four Grandchildren: Zachary Belton, Avery Belton, Heather Webb and Tiffany Bowman. Four Great-grandchildren: Nathaniel Jones, Faith Jones, Ezekiel Webb and Rachel Parker. Two sisters; Myrtle Moncus and Trusty Lineberry. Two brothers; Jimmy Snow and Paul Snow. Several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, December 17, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home Chapel in Rural Hall by Jerry Simpkins, Minister. Burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday December 17th from 1:00 P.M until time of the funeral service.
