Mary Elizabeth Anderson. Bayless

Bayless Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Anderson Bayless, 93, of Richmond, VA, formerly of Winston-Salem, died Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at Westport Healthcare. She was born in Forsyth County to Herbert Frederick Anderson, Sr and Martha Etta Tatum Anderson on March 9, 1916. She retired from Southern Bell (ATT) after 40 years of service. Mrs. Bayless was a Watchcare member of First Baptist Church of Richmond for 12 years. She was a member of Christ Moravian Church. Mrs. Bayless was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Norman Bayless. She is survived by two daughters Beth Bayless of Richmond, VA and Ruth Bailey and husband Carl of Cary, NC; a brother H.F. Anderson of Winston-Salem; and two grandchildren Andrew Bailey and wife Kathy of Raleigh and David Bailey and wife Jennifer of Shallotte. A graveside service will be conducted 2:00 pm Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at Parklawn Memorial Park with the Dr. Neil Routh and Rev. G. Thomas Shelton officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 noon to 1:30 pm Tuesday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
