Mary Katherine 'Peggy' Bailey

Mrs. Mary Katherine ""Peggy"" Bailey, 84, of Winston-Salem, passed away on Friday, November 9, 2012 at Wake Forest Baptist Health Center. Mary was born on April 22, 1928 in Troup County, GA to Robert Andrew Longshore, Sr. and Florence Noles Longshore. She was a member of Crews United Methodist Church in Winston-Salem, NC. Mary worked in many different fields during her career and held many jobs but her most important job was being a homemaker for her family. Preceding Mrs. Bailey in death were her husband, Thomas Eugene Bailey; her parents and one brother, Jimmy Longshore. Surviving Mrs. Bailey are two daughters, Doreen Bailey Connell (Tom) of Raeford, NC and Karon Bailey Money (Keith) of Walnut Cove, NC; one son, Steven Eugene Bailey (Libby) of Chattanooga, TN; three grandchildren, Steven Bailey and Andy Bailey, both of Chattanooga, TN and Beth Little (Will) of Morgantown, WV; two brothers, Robert Longshore of Hogansville, GA and Joel Longshore of Brunswick, GA; two sisters, Martha Woodham and Gerry Yarbrough, both of Lagrange, GA; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Monday, November 12, 2012 at Crews United Methodist Church with Rev. Gary Camp officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Sunday, November 11, 2012 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
