ARROWOOD WALKERTOWN, Mrs. Mary Lou Johnson Arrowood, 72 of Walkertown went to be with her Lord, Friday, January 9, 2008 at Forsyth Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Alexander County on September 7, 1936 the daughter of John W. and Ruth Boles Johnson. Mrs. Arrowood was a member of Vienna Baptist Church in Pfafftown. Mary Lou was a loyal and faithful employee in the Deli Department at Lowes Foods on Robinhood Rd. and had many special friends and customers. Surviving are three loving and devoted daughters, Wanda Helms, Tracie (Robert) Moreau and Janet Queen, five grandchildren, Gennifer Manuel, Hannah and Noel T. Helms, Merdith Faith Queen and Olivia Moreau, a great granddaughter Lila Manuel, her parents John and Ruth Johnson, two sisters Ann Slate and Kelly Tuttle, two brothers Johnny Wayne Johnson and Jimmie Johnson and a number of nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted 5:00 PM Sunday, January 11, 2009 at Hayworth-Miller Chapel in Rural Hall with Rev. Eddie Honeycutt officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. A private graveside service will be conducted Monday January 12, at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown.
