Mary Proffitt Adams

Mrs. Mary Proffitt Adams, 70, of Pinnacle, passed away Thursday, February 25, 2010 at J.R. Jones Medical Center. She was born December 23, 1939 to Henry and Sara Doss Proffitt. She was a member of Burgaw Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Adams enjoyed gardening, cooking, antiquing and spending time with her family, especially with her golden child, Thomas. She was an avid bowler for many years. She liked yard sales and going to the Dollar Store. She also enjoyed panning for gold at Cotton Patch. She is preceded in death by her husband, Howard J. Adams; two sisters, Catherine Spainhour and Laura Proffitt; one brother, Tom Proffitt. Surviving are three sons, Ray C. Adams of East Bend, James H. Adams and wife Kristie of Clemmons, ""Tommy"" Paul T. Adams and Fiance' Angie Lashmit of Pinnacle; a grandson, Thomas Adams of Pinnacle; one sister, Elsie Beaver of Mountain City , TN. A funeral sevice will be conducted at 7:00 PM Sunday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Alan Acker officiating.
