Martinita Celeste

Mrs. Martinita Tejero Celeste, 70, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2020 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC.

Martinita was born on March 8, 1950 in the Philippines to Pablo and Uldarica Tejero. She retired from the Fort Riley Commissary in Kansas.

She was a wonderful person who was selfless and always put others before herself. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Martinita was preceded in death by her husband, Conrad Celeste; her parents; and brother, Jose Tejero.

Surviving family includes her three children, Irish Doss (Randall), Joseph Celeste (Tara) and Nicholas Celeste; five grandchildren, Kaleb Doss, Ian Doss, Isaac Celeste, Alex Celeste and Feliz Celeste; four siblings, Ramonita Jordan, Wilfredo Tejero (Nilda), Roberto Tejero and Heartie Romano (Fred); brother and sister-in-law, Anthony, and Ann Celeste; and numerous extended family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Kansas, with inurnment following at Kansas Veteran’s Cemetery at Fort Riley. Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel in Winston-Salem, NC will be handling cremation.
