Martha Williams

Martha Beckerdite Williams, 85, passed away on September 13, 2022, at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital. She was born on May 23, 1937, to Ralph Beckerdite and Ethel Sloan Beckerdite in Davidson County. Martha was a longtime member of Hopewell Moravian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Ronald “Dale” Williams; a baby sister, Alma Louise; sister-in-law, Peggy Beckerdite; and brother-in-law, Richard Weatherman. Surviving are her siblings, Blanche Weatherman, George Beckerdite, and Ila Hester (Ronald), as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 17, 2022, at Hopewell Moravian Church with Pastor Tom Anders and Rev. Jeff Carter officiating. Mrs. Williams will lie in state for one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow in the church graveyard.
