Martha Rushing McKinney

Mrs. Martha Rushing McKinney, 87, of Winston-Salem passed away on Monday, June 21, 2010 at her home. She was born April 7, 1923 in Anson County to William Dudley and Rannie Balcom Rushing. Mrs. McKinney was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by five brothers and five sisters. Surviving is one sister, Mary Louise Leonard and husband Willy of Winston-Salem; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 25 at Parklawn Memorial Park with the Rev. Chris Byrne officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, June 24 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. The family wishes to express their thanks to the staff and doctors of Kate B.
