Martha Jean Sykes Koulmentas

Mrs. Martha Jean Sykes Koulmentas, 74 of Winston-Salem passed away Easter Sunday, April 5, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born August 15, 1940 in Forsyth County to Edward H. and Carolyn Hicks Sykes. She was proud to be an Air Force wife and touched many lives around the world. Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Koulmentas, a brother, Dean Sykes and a sister, Velma Holcomb. Surviving are a daughter, Christina Dahdal (Munther Dahdal, son-in-law); a son, Bill Gregory Koulmentas; 3 grandchildren, Krystal, Jacqueline and Joseph; 2 sisters, Dorothy Ball and Judith Wilson; and a brother, Ed Sykes. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Richard Brogden officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
