Martha Jane Graham

KERNERSVILLE-Martha Jane Mowery Graham, 72, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, September 21, 2010. She was born February 14, 1938 in Randolph Co. to the late Clyde Chapman and Martha Reynolds Mowery. Mrs. Graham served as the church secretary at Sedge Garden Baptist Church for many years. Jane's belief was ""God gives us freedom to choose our own way. I have chosen to believe Jesus Christ was God's Only Begotten Son and to receive Him as my personal Savior and Friend and Intercessor."" In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Wayne Mowery. Surviving are her loving husband, Mac Clyde Graham of the home; her daughter, Ann Smith and husband Greg of Summerfield; her two sons, David Graham and wife Miko of Chesterfield, VA, and Tim Graham and wife Janet of High Point; two brothers, Gene Mowery and wife Mary, and Kenneth Mowery all of Climax; two sisters, Betsy Lee and husband Keith of New Mexico, and Lorena Fields and husband Joe of Climax; six grandchildren, David Smith (Amanda), Hannah, Braxton, Justin, Daniel, and Nathan Graham; and one great-grandchild, Aubrey Smith. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 12 noon, Friday, September 24, 2010 at Sedge Garden Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Duncan officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. Friday, prior to the service at the church. Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the Graham family.
